PURPOSE OF THE POSITION (SENIOR ANALYST):

The Senior Analyst is responsible for gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data to deliver actionable insights on market trends, competitor activities, and consumer behavior. This role involves conducting thorough industry research, preparing detailed reports, and providing strategic recommendations to support data-driven business decisions.

OBJECTIVES:

• Collect and Analyze Market Information: Gather internal and external information on tobacco production and sales volumes, consumption trends, and overall market dynamics. Utilize various data sources, including industry reports, market research, and statistical data.
• Analyze Price Dynamics: Conduct in-depth analysis of price dynamics, demand patterns, consumer preferences, retail structure, and other factors influencing the tobacco category. Identify key trends and patterns.
• Research Competitors: Study and analyze competitors' strategies, product and brand portfolios, and other trade and marketing activities. Prepare comparative analyses and reports on the competitive landscape.
• Forecast Market Trends: Provide forecasts based on factual data and other market trends and emerging patterns in the tobacco industry. Use statistical models and tools for forecasting.
• Collaborate with Teams: Work with cross-functional teams to align strategies and ensure a comprehensive understanding of market dynamics. Support communication and information exchange between different departments.
• Utilize Analytical Tools: Leverage internal tools and systems for efficient data analysis. Work with data analysis software such as MS SQL, Tableau, and Microsoft Power BI.
• Monitor Industry Trends: Keep up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes impacting the business. Prepare reports on the impact of these changes on the company and the market.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Higher degree in marketing, economics, statistics, or a related field.
• 2+ years of working experience in information management, business intelligence, or analytics.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills to interpret complex data sets.
• Familiarity with data analysis tools and software for processing and interpreting market data.
• Effective communication skills for presenting findings and insights to stakeholders.
• English: Intermediate; Ukrainian: native.
• Advanced PC Skills: MS Office with a focus on Excel and PowerPoint – working with large data sets.
• Knowledge of business systems and database maintenance and support, knowledge of MS SQL; knowledge of Tableau and Microsoft Power BI will be as s big advantage.
