Team of UKEESS Software House is currently looking for a Junior .NET Engineer to join our team for a full-time position (remotely in Ukraine or in Lviv’s office).

ABOUT THE CUSTOMER:

Our customer is the world’s largest DNA network from the USA. With more than 30 billion digitized global historical records, 130 million family trees, and 18+ million people in their growing database, our customers help people discover their family stories and gain actionable insights about their health and wellness.

ABOUT THE PROJECT AND TEAM:

Our team develops, supports, and maintains numerous stacks related to genealogy research. Our database has over 12 billion records, and we are working to organize this data effectively to understand how individuals are related. We are also focused on enhancing our search capabilities for historical records to uncover relationships between people and aid in constructing family trees.

The technology stack of the project: ASP.NET MVC framework / Razor/ TSQL/ Terraform/ AWS(SQS, SNS, S3, DynamoDB, Lambda)

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Help architect, design, and develop complex, large-scale systems that process billions of records every day
• Revise, refactor, update, debug code, and build programs for .NET software applications
• Work on and guide microservice REST API design
• Work with various AWS services using Terraform
• Identify and correct code errors, plan changes and enhancements, and test applications.
• Write unit tests, adhere to code standards, and use static and performance analysis tools.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• At least 6 months of commercial experience with C#
• Strong knowledge and commercial experience with the MVC framework
• Solid knowledge and commercial experience with relational databases (TSQL preferred)
• Basic pipeline development and maintenance experience
• Experience with REST API
• Experience with CI/CD
• English: Upper-intermediate at least (both spoken and written)

It will be a plus:

• Knowledge or experience with Terraform
• Knowledge or experience with AWS ecosystem (S3, EC2, SNS, SQS, Lambda, Secret Manager)
• Knowledge or experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Knowledge or experience with NUnit.Framework
